Katie Militello, LMFT, LPCC

Katie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
Katie's previous counseling experience has included children's mental health, juvenile diversion, bereavement, maternal health, and school based counseling.
 She has completed certification in EMDR Therapy through the Trauma Recovery/EMDR Humanitarian Assistant Program. She completed HeartMath Clinical Certification for Stress, Anxiety and Emotional Management through the Institute for Better Health/HeartMath. Katie has also received extensive training in Bowen Family Systems Therapy.
Katie runs a group for seniors, Writing Your Story, at Del Mar Community Connections in Del Mar to support insight and understanding of life experiences.
Katie's previous career was as a marketing executive working with corporations and family owned businesses to help them achieve their goals and become more successful. She found that her work in business fell short of accomplishing her goals of seeing her clients achieve their best possible potentials; consequently, she was drawn to learning and understanding the field of counseling to facilitate change, and support others in achieving their desired outcomes.
Katie has her Master's in Business Administration from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's of Arts in East Asian Studies from Harvard University.
